Trivia answer of the day: Neue Haas Grotesk

So what's the question?

What was the original name of the Helvetica font.

(Bonus answer:  Helvetica was created by Max Miedinger and Eduard Hoffmann in the late '50s in Münchenstein, Switzerland. Helvetia is the Latin name for Switzerland.)

All this via the Presentation Zen blog, where Garr Reynolds reviews the Helvetica documentary.  Yes, an 80-minute documentary on a font, and yet it still sounds very interesting.
