I just got my new corporate card (the old one expired), and for the first time across any of my bank or credit cards, I had the option of activating it online instead of having to call into an 800 #. It's not so much punching all the numbers into the phone that gets me - it's that they usually need to read back my credit card #, birth day, social sec. #, home phone, or whatever, and I usually have exhausted my attention span after the first - oh - 3 digits as they read it back in that generically friendly but painstakingly slow voice.
