Mike Smith closes his Lotusphere Wrapup post over on the NotesBerry Blog with a paragraph on Lotus Sametime on the BlackBerry:

Can I just add that Sametime on the BlackBerry really came into its own for me at Lotusphere. The ability to instantly contact each other was invaluable to coordinate our plans, answer queries from our UK office, and (most importantly of all) meet in the bar.....

I'll second his comments.  Maybe I'm showing my age, but I'd take typing into Sametime on my BlackBerry over trying to SMS on my phone any day.  I found it extremely valuable for coordinating with my colleagues on site, whether to discuss meetings, customer visits, or what time to meet at the end of the day, not to mention that I was able to easily get at any of the hundreds of contacts I have back at the home office (or, equally important, for them to be able to reach me when they needed to).
