How to add a new community to your Lotus Sametime client
Tuesday 26th February, 2008As a follow up to the previous post, here's how you can add a new community to your Lotus Sametime 7.5/7.5.1/8.0 client (a disclaimer - I don't actually have Lotus Sametime 7.5.0 installed right now, but I'm pretty sure this is still accurate for that version.)
1. In the Lotus Sametime Connect client, select File/New/Server Community.
2. Type in im.bleedyellow.com into the Server Community Name at the top of the window, and then down below on the Log In tab, enter your Bleed Yellow ID (your e-mail address) and password.
3. On the Server tab, type im.bleedyellow.com for the Host Server and make sure the Server community port is set to 1533, then click OK
4. There is no step 4. You're done!
(OK, I lied - if you want you can click on the "Icon" tab and change the community icon to display underneath the presence icon.)
