Enterprise Strategies: IBM Enhances, Extends InfoSphere Information Integration Platform
There's been a lot of coverage today of the new versions of InfoSphere Information Server and InfoSphere Master Data Management for Product Information Management (MDM for PIM) announced this week at the TDWI World Conference.

MDM for PIM, previously known as IBM WebSphere Product Center, helps companies maintain a single view of product information throughout the organization. The MDM for PIM 6.0 release offers new task flow capabilities, new Java- and SOA-based interfaces, and enhancements that make the software easier to deploy and use.

IBM is introducing a new version of its IBM master data management software. The company is also releasing a new version of IBM InfoSphere Information Server, which allows customers to standardize and resolve multicultural name data. In addition, IBM is offering enhanced globalization, extended mainframe support, and improved ease-of-use with new automation features to simplify and speed large-scale information integration projects across the globe.
