Boeing creates disaster relief mashup
I know I've blogged about Mashups a few times before, but if you still haven't seen it in action yet, or maybe are questioning why you should be interested in mashups, check out this video.
Boeing built this mashup to locate open airports around a disaster area. It allows them to enter the location, a distance from the disaster site, and even a runway length, and the mashup will return all of the open airports that meet the criteria.
Because it wires together mutliple databases, by selecting an airport on the map, it will return all of the information needed to determine which airport best fits the needs at the time.
